The FBI Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association-South Florida sponsored three Holiday initiatives in 2008. Monies were raised to help maintain operation of His House Children’s Home and HANDY, Inc. The two South Florida organizations are a critical resource for children, providing a lifeline for abused, neglected and disadvantaged youths. The third endeavor was the sponsorship of New Years’ Day dinner at the Broward County Salvation Army. Alumni members also volunteered, serving hot, nutritious meals to families in need.

“One of the fundamental goals for the Alumni Association is to partner with the FBI-Miami Division and help them reach out to the communities in need. Our Holiday Initiative affords the FBI office a perfect opportunity to connect with the community on a humanitarian level and impact the lives of others. As the Alumni Association strives to impact the lives of South Florida communities, we are proud to assist FBI-Miami in fulfilling their outreach mission as well,” said Rita Scott, President, FBI C.A.A.A.-SF.
